After doing many audits for Workman's compensation and General Liability Insurance policies it has become apparent that a lot of businesses, especially construction companies, need help in setting up their payroll, understanding the codes, and doing required objectives that the companies may have.

American Contractors and I are currently working on a class that will help an owner understand their policy and how the system works.  This class when completed should give 5 credits towards your CCB license renewal.  If there is a larger need than what would be in the class then I can do a private lesson.

This class will be formatted towards QuickBooks desktop version, but will also go over how you can adapt to the online version or maybe outsourced payroll such as ADP, and Paychex.

Breakdown of the class

How to balance the 941, what is included in taxable wages and what is excluded.

Workman's com:

How to set up the payroll.
How do record time correctly, this is very important for companies with prevailing wage jobs.
What is included in exposure and what is excluded.
State requirements - if you have dual state jobs this will pertain to you.
How to do a self audit.
What is required for a full term audit.

General Liability:

How does this differ from Workman's Comp and how can you comply with both and not have to do a lot of extra work.

Answer questions and see if there is more individual work needed.

It is recommended that you bring either your laptop or files that you can make notes with.

The class will be held once a month in Portland at American Contractors building.  I am also hoping to do long distance classes so that there is as little traveling for the student.

Please fill out the form below with as much detail as possible and I will get back to you within 48 hours.
